Calling all artists and creatives,

SmART! Supplies is excited to host our first annual Art Clash on Friday June 15th on stage at the Texas Troubadour Theater!

Art Clash will bring together teams of artists and creatives to make a piece of artwork out of upcycled materials in a two hour competition. A panel of esteemed adjudicators will judge each piece, and awards will be given for first through third place as well as a "People’s Choice" award. Event spectators will purchase a $10 ticket benefiting SmART! Supplies to peruse the event and vote for their favorite piece. A cash bar and finger foods will be available to those in attendance. For more specific criteria, please keep reading! 

Art Clash 2018 judging panel will include Beth Inglish of the Nashville Creative Group, Metro Nashville City Councilman Jeff Syracuse, Randy Purcell, Wayne Brezinka, Brian Sexton of Creaatives' Day, and Eva Boros of Nashville Walls Project. 

Teams must have a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 3 members.

Each team must designate a team captain who is required to participate on day of event.

Once your team has been accepted, a $50 refundable deposit is required to participate. 

Teams are encouraged to sell tickets to earn different advantages through out the competition including extra time, and special materials. 

Artists will begin setting up at 5:00 PM. Doors will open at 6:30 PM with creation beginning at 7:00 PM. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 PM.

Application for Art Clash does not guarantee participation. 

Art Clash will publish a list of materials available to you no less than two weeks before the competition.

Each team may bring a maximum of three materials that must be pre-approved by Art Clash. Examples of pre-approved materials include but are not limited to: Wood, game pieces, wire, paint, clay/sculpt/putty, canvas/substrate, found objects (each object counts as 1 material), buttons, beads, foam, artificial flowers, glass, etc. 

Each team may bring as many accepted items from the tools/supplies list as they wish, tools\supplies will not count towards your materials: One cordless drill per team, hardware – screws, hinges, nails, handles, etc, white glue, wood glue, heat gun, glue paste (mod podge/pre mixed flower and water/decoupage), small hand tools – pliers, hammer, scissors, wire snips, etc., tape, brushes/rollers, trays/paint pallets, staple gun.
